AI
Mission:
The AI PTS has emerged from what was formerly the OMG Agent PTS, with an expanded charter, focusing on AI in all its current aspects, of which one manifestation is in agents.
The Charter of the Artificial Intelligence Platform level Task Force (AI PTF) is to work with OMG platform and domain task forces:
- To identify and recommend new OMG specification in the area of artificial intelligence (AI)
- To recommend AI related additions and standards to existing and emerging OMG specifications
- To promote standard AI architecture and components modeling techniques with UML/SysML/BPMN modeling tools, and other OMG standards, like ODM.
- To enable integration of AI modeling in model based system engineering (MBSE)
- To leverage other OMG specifications in the AI area, where appropriate
- To liaise with related organization that share common goals

Approach
The AI PSIG aims to achieve its Charter through the following activities:
- Collect information via Request For Information (RFI)
- Develop an organized overview and survey of AI technology and their relationships
- Develop a corresponding roadmap describing future technology adaption priorities
- Initiate technology adaption processes via Request For Proposals (RFP) working with appropriate OMG Task Forces
- Create and foster OMG Working Groups for OMG AI related submissions
- Write OMG AI White Papers on AI technology pertinent to OMG Activities
- Liaison with other OMG Working Groups, Task Forces and Special Interest Groups; and liase with external organizations to OMG for joint activities and partnerships related to AI
